We are digging trenches this spring and just couldn’t wait to dive into some of our favourite styles! Whether a twist on the classic trench coat or an exhibit in printed trench coat perfection, we love them all!

“Colour and shine?…Mine oh mine!” That is what the little voice in my head said when I saw this purple beauty on the ASOS web site. Trench coats are always in season and I decided I was finally ready to dive into this trend.

Yes, believe it or not, I used to shy away from trench coats. I used to think they were for older folks or super conservative people, but man oh man was I ever wrong!lol There are so many different twists on the traditional trench and I found the one that spoke to my little heart!

I bought it in a size UK 8 wich is a USA size 4, but it is a little big. I love that oversized effect though so I was still very please with it. I wanted to play up colour in this look, so I paired my trench with this beautiful green blouse and pleated pant. The colour combo is playful and eye-catching which is exactly what I was going for.

Lastly, I added my cobalt blue sandals and purple ostrich textured clutch. Colour, colour and more colour! Just what we need on a rainy spring day!

They say April showers bring May flowers. Well, if that’s the case I’d say I’m ready for those rain drops to fall with this blush coloured trench.

I’m loving the patent fabric and the simple belt to tie it closed. I paired the coat with this rust coloured figure hugging dress. It features a v-neck neckline and a front split and a rust coloured belt with tortoise shell coloured belt buckle. I decided to replace that belt with a gold one instead to really cinch in my waist.

Now, I decided to do a little something extra by layering these wide leg trousers underneath the dress. Sometimes you just gotta take a chance and try something a little different.
