Spring into Hudson’s Bay

We are so excited to be partnering with Hudson’s Bay to show you some of our fave styles for spring. We just LOVE that they carry everything from Balmain to Topshop and everything in between. Another  little known secret that we’re going to share with you; if you love to shop at ASOS, but don’t like paying those crazy duties we have to pay in Canada, check Hudson’s Bay first. They carry several of the lines that ASOS offers like TFNC, Misguided, Miss Selfridge, Mango, Reis, Club L London , the list goes on and on. Check out a few of the pieces that caught our eye, and this is just the tip of the iceberg! There is just so much to love!

Leslie’s Sprung on Spring

Jacket: Hudson’s Bay // Jumpsuit: Hudson’s Bay // Pumps

For my plus size babes: Jacket // Jumpsuit // Muscle Tee // Jeans //

Spring has sprung and I’m finally ready to fully immerse myself in the season! Where to start? With that bright white! Everyone is ready to pull out those white pieces when spring is in the air and this jumpsuit is a great way to rock that white in style.

This jumpsuit is stylish and comfortable. Dress it up with heels to go out when we are out of lockdown, or wear it with some sneakers or sandals to dress it down for a more everyday look. I love the closure detail with the snaps being on the diagonal, and the elastic in the waist means it can cinch me in, or expand with me after a really good meal!LOL

The sleeveless jacket is right on trend for this season. This style has been seen on many runways showing just how versatile it can be. Worn here with the jumpsuit to add a little extra visual interest (you know I like to be extra), it can also be worn with shorts to give the illusion that it’s a cute mini dress.

I actually went up a size for the jacket so that It would be a little looser since oversized pieces are all the rage this season. But I also did it to give me a little extra length so that I could create the illusion that I’m wearing it as a dress (but with shorts underneath to protect my lady bits!lol)

For my beautiful curvy ladies: Dress //

This dress….hold on let me take a moment….

This dress is LIFE! The exaggerated puff sleeve is a huge trend this season, but as I already have broad shoulders, I preferred to rock the puff without the extra poof making the trend work for my body. Always bend the trends to your will ladies!

The playful print and mini length make it a great piece for spring and summer. It’s also one of those pieces that you can layer to create a whole new look. I plan to rock it with the jumpsuit so that the jumpsuit looks like pants, and add a cute belt bag to create a new look. I stay being all about that versatility baby!

You can also tuck this dress into a pair of high-waisted pants (a pair a little on the baggier side) and just like that it’s a top and yet another new look!

All in all, spring is coming into bloom with these great looks from Hudson’s Bay!

Gail – Spring Ready

Jacket: Lauren Ralph Lauren (sold out) another blazer possibility here // White Pants: Chaps //

For my tall glamazons: Jacket // Pants

Picture it, it’s a Saturday afternoon in the earlies 90s in the sleepy suburb of Brossard, Quebec and I’m wondering the aisles of the Hudson’s Bay aka “The Bay” to us Canucks, with my Mother trying to find whichever article of clothing that would fulfill my adolescent “dream look”.   I’m not going to lie, as a chubby teenager the pickings were slim but oh the Bay, you’ve come a long way baby!!  The Bay has got fun, youthful contemporary styles that would have made my younger self feel like she was in fashion HEAVEN!

This look right here is right up my alley and of course all of the pieces featured work with the other items in my wardrobe because the name of the game is VERSATILITY.  Having a tailored jacket that like this one always pulls a look together.  And doesn’t it give off House of Slytherin vibes.  LOL (Just to clarify yes, I am a Potterhead but no I’m not a Slytherin.  Long Live the House of Ravenclaw!) This particular jacket in question is knit with blue and green piping along the collar, lapels and cuffs.  There’s even a crest found on the breast pocket.

Next on the straight leg pants white pants that have the perfect amount of stretch.   I got these pants in a size 24 and they were perfect!  They are a little on the long side but I threw on some pumps and I was good to go.

Now for my night time is the right time look.  This mauve satin number from City Chic is everything!

Dress: CityChic // Pumps: Steve Madden (sold out) similar here

For my tall sisters: Dress

It’s a faux wrap style dress with a collared neck and fun draping in the front of the dress.

The dress is also available in the colour black.  I got the dress in a size 22 but City Chic is very generous with their sizing so I could have gone down a size.

I completed my look by adding some blush coloured pumps, a fun beaded clutch and gold hoops.

And that’s the long & short of it!
