The fall fashions continue with these latest looks we love! From the runways to real life, we bring you our interpretation of our fave fall fashion trends!
Leslie’s Pretty in Polka Dot & Pink
My people, I have been committing a sin. I have been coveting something (no, not someone!LOL What you may ask? This gorgeous fuchsia pink faux leather luxurious trench coat designed by Hilary MacMillan. I have beenwatching this oh so cute coat for MONTHS and I finally took the plunge (when I saw that my size was selling out!lol). And y’all, I don’t have any regrets!
Not only is the coat a stunner, it is available in sizes XS to 4X and comes in multiple colours! I would have purchased a few colours, but I am on a strict shopping budget!LOL
Even though it’s fall, saturated, vibrant colour is a huge trend this season. Why put on those blacks, navys and greys when you can stay warm in glorious technicolor. You can do it with a dash of colour to spice up your look or wear an outfit that pops from head to toe.
Because I am all about colour, there’s no surprise that I went for the second option: an outfit that pops from head to toe! This polka dot dress is one I’ve had for many years and still just love. The multi-coloured dot print is super playful and allows for many styling options.
Paired with a sweater and tights, or booties and a blazer this dress can be rocked year round!
Since it was a spectacular fall day in Montreal when we shot this look, I went for simple white pumps and simple accessories. The colours make the statement!
Y’all fall is looking just a little bit brighter with a look like this – no?
Gail’s Glamour Meets Dark Academia Look
I’m channeling another fall trend but giving it a unique to me twist. What’s the trend you ask? It’s called Dark Academia. Think, Sleepy Hollow meets the ground of Hogwarts in autumn – at least that’s what comes to mind when I think of this trend. This trend is all about vintage meets gothic moodiness but I had to add a little bit of glamour!
I started with this plaid jacket. I love the bold gold buttons and the cut which is giving me all kinds of Balmain vibes – but Balmain on a budget. I adore the cut of the jacket as it nips in my waist beautifully and the cut away hemline of the jacket really works to accentuate my waist as well.
Next comes these faux leather pants – well, culottes actually. They are wide width leg trouser that its a couple of inches above my ankles. They feature a pintuck style down the front of each leg and best of all have POCKETS! Also, because these pants are wide width the cut is very generous in the hip area.
I absolutely ADORE faux leather anything. From pants, to dresses to skirts or event jackets – faux leather clothing just can’t be beat. I find they instantly add a cool factor to any look.
I completed my look by adding these wide calf boots from Lane Bryant. I am so grateful that there are so many cool to the knee wide calf boot options for us plus size glamazons to choose from! It’s about time!
And that’s the long and short of it!
Gail & Leslie xoxo
