Sweater Weather

So, sweater weather is definitely upon us. Follow along to see how we’ve embraced the winter chills – fashionably of course!

Gail’s Unconventional Sweater

Sweater Tunic: Zara similar here here and here in extended plus sizes // Skirt: Soncy // Boots: Ashley Stewart (old) similar here // Bustier: Ashley Stewart (old) similar here

For my tall and straight size sisters the tunic is from Zara so it is available for you! Skirt // Bustier

So, I wanted to do a little something different. Now, there’s obviously nothing wrong with a conventional sweater but I wanted to try a different look. That’s what I love about fashion – one gets to experiment with different looks all the time. Playing dress up is SO much fun.

So, I was following along with Leslie as she was perusing the racks at Zara…which is basically Mecca for her LOL. I happened upon this tunic sweater and thought, “Now, this is interesting! Let me give it a whirl since its a knit.” Don’t be afraid to try on stretchy items in straight size stores – you just may end up pleasantly surprised.

So, I took my own advice and tried this sucker on in an XL and voila it fit wonderfully.

I wanted to up the “edginess” factor my adding my faux leather bustier/corset belt.

Now, when we shot our knit looks it was a lot warmer hence the no sleeves look LOL. And with that my lovelies my look is complete. But I want to leave you with this, don’t be afraid to shop in straight size stores. You have as much right as anyone to be in there and find a little something something that may well just work for you!

Leslie’s Cropped Knit Dreams

Sweater:TopShop // Culottes: Zara (sold out similar here) // Booties (sold out, similar here) // Shirt: H&M od, similar here)

For my plus size babes: Sweater // Culottes // Shirt //

It’s sweater weather fam and we are ready!!! I love knits, and when I get a knit with a print and balloon sleeves, I’m here for it!

I added these faux leather culottes since leather is a huge trend this season! I love the wide leg and cropped length.  They look fabulous with pumps, knee-high boots and bootees.

Layering is an important tip for these cold temperatures. but that does not mean it can’t be super cute! Stay warm and stylish this winter with your fave knits!!

And that’s the long and short of it!
