All that glitters may not be gold, but we are shinning shinning shinning shinning yeah in our metallics! Dressed up or down, metallics are a great transition piece to have in your wardrobe to carry you from one season to the next. Check out how we rocked our silver and gold!

Top: Zara (actually a dress, sold out, similar here) // Pants: TopShop (sold out, similar here) // Belt: House of CB // Shoes: Zara // Purse: Zara (sold out, similar here, here)
For my curvy babes: Top // Pants // Belt //
Pretty much anything in a metallic has my name written all over it!LOL I love when a simple piece , like these pants, come in a texture or with a sheen that just takes them to the next level! For this look, I styled everything around the pants. I wanted to bring in different textures, colour and print to create the overall outfit!
So my first trick was to look in my wardrobe and see what I already had that could bring me to my goal. This top, which is actually a short dress seen here, was the perfect piece. As always, we love when a garment can do double duty! Slim girls you know, when you have an item that is that tiny bit too big, stuffing something chunky into the waistline, like this dress in my case, can take it from a tiny bit big to totally boss! And that’s what I did here!
Next came this belt. As you can probably tell from the last few posts, I’m really feeling the oversized belts right now. I love them because they accentuate my waistline, giving me more curve (which I’m always looking for) and they add another layer to the look. When your belt is this big, it gets noticed!
Then came the addition of the cute clutch. I love that it brings a print to the look, and it’s great for going out. Holds all the essentials (i.e. keys, id, cards, phone and cash money)!
Last but certainly not least, I slid into these super comfy block heeled clear sandals. I could wear these all day. They go with EVERYTHING, and all you gotta do is make sure you don’t have raptor claws for toe nails!LOL Yes, these sandals bring all the attention to your feet and especially your toes, so you definitely want to be sure your foot game is on point before you jump into these bad boys!lol
So, yes, I do love this look, the only drawbacks are: 1) I do wish the pants were a bit longer. There is a little bit of hem, but not much to make a big difference. Now, clearly, I bought them anyway because it works for me, but my tall girls will have an issue with these pants. I’m wearing a size US 2 and you do get more length in a larger size, but something to consider prior to purchase. Top Shop does carry a tall collection, but sadly, these pants only came in regular and petite.
Otherwise, I had no issues with any of the other pieces.
This is a great transitional look as well because, add something as easy as a leather moto jacket and you’re ready for fall!
Gail – The Silver Surfer
Metallic pieces need not be relegated to just the night time. Oh no! Take a chance and give a metallic look a whirl during the light of day. I feel as though this look would be perfect for meeting up for lunch/brunch with girlfriends for a good ole gabfest!
Denim Jacket: Reitmans, style worn sold out, similar here // Top: Zara (sold out) similar here // Skirt: Pretty Little Thing (sold out) similar here //
For my tall girls here are some options for you: Skirt // Top // Denim Jacket
I found this silver skirt over at Pretty Little Thing, an online retailer hailing from the U.K.. Now, as a short plus size diva, this skirt (which I purchased in a size 22) was little longer than I wanted so I paid a little visit to my tailor to have the hem taken up a smidge or two.
Besides the fun silver colour fo the skirt, I really love the kind of “fish scale” nature of the material. It just gives it a little extra je ne c’est quoi!
I then added this fetchin periwinkle blue knit top I got in of all places Zara in an XXL. I then threw on this cute denim jacket and some comfy sneakers and I’m off to enjoy a mimosa or two!
And that’s the long and short of it!
