Soooo coats are my kryptonite. I know I’ve said it before and I’m gonna have to say it again! They hide all manner of evils (namely pajamas) and allow you to create a full look with basically one garment! Who doesn’t love that. Why nip out to the grocery store looking cray when you can slip into a stylish coat and look pulled together. No one needs to know you’re little secrets.
I love this coat as it keeps me warm when the temperature is hovering around the freezing mark or just below, and looks good while doing it! Prints are my thing, so this plaid baby was right up my alley! The length is perfect as I need to have my but and upper legs covered (I have zero cold tolerance LOL) and the wrap style (no buttons) allows me to wrap myself up tight for a perfect fit!
Along with coats for winter, you know what else we need? Boots! These croc print merlot coloured dreams are ridiculously comfortable and have a great chunky heel so that I can walk in them comfortably and easily for an extended period of time. The style is classic enough to last for more than one winter season and they add a much needed pop of colour to the dreary winter days.
Now, let’s discuss this jumpsuit. I adore jumpsuits, but being on the slim side and 5ft9, I really struggle with finding ones with a good fit. I admit, I cheated a little with this one by going up a size to allow for more room in the torso, arms and legs. However, with the elastic in the waist and tie sash, I am still able to highlight my waist and get a small amount of curve to my silhouette. As for the inseam, it’s a 32 in. so fit just perfectly for me in flats. For my tall girls out there, sadly, this particular jumpsuit may not be for you, but you still got the coat!:-)
These three beautiful pieces are great wardrobe additions as they are classic enough to still be current in the coming years. It’s a guarantee that they will be part of my regular clothing rotation going forward!

ModCloth is the name and size inclusive fashion is this retailer’s game! We love bringing you fresh to death clothing options from size inclusive brands like ModCloth and items like this fabulous coat! This plaid coat is right up my alley. It’s a wrap style coat so no buttons or snaps.
The coat on me is a little on the long side but give the cold Canadian winters I have to live with I don’t mind the extra length to keep my legs warm. I got my coat in a 2X which is still roomy enough to wear a sweater underneath it like I’m doing in this look.
ModCloth not only has beautiful size inclusive clothing but fun and stylish footwear. I scored this berry saturated velvet booties. I have a wide foot so when I first put my foot in these bad boys I was like, “Oh man, another one bites the dust!” I could not get the zipper up on these booties y’all! But Leslie, to the rescue, was like just loosen up them laces son!
Now, just to explain myself, I would have done that but I thought for sure the laces were just for “show” and so didn’t think I could loosen them. Once I did that, I was good to go the boots fit my wide ass foot. The booties are comfy and the block heels are not too high-another plus for me.

I love this glam yet comfy jumpsuit and couldn’t be happier to feature it. It’s made of the softest velvet and has some stretch to it as well. The jumpsuit is perfect for a glam yet low key holiday gathering with immediate family because we are of course adhering to social distancing/chillin with people in our “bubble”. ?
I got this lovely jumpsuit features a lovely surplice neckline and I got it in 3X but I could have sized down easily as the cut is very generous. As a mentioned, the neckline is surplice so if you’re more generous in the cleavage area feel free to wear a cute little camisole beneath it. You could also use some fashion tape to keep the opening closed.
Now while the legs of the jumpsuit are wide leg so it’s nice and roomy the length of the jumpsuit is a little on the long side for us petite plus babes. So, we’ll need to make a quick trip to the tailor to that hem taken care of or you can get away with wearing platform heels too.
And that’s the long and short of it! Happy Holidays!!!
Gail & Leslie xoxo
